The Next Generation - Up and Coming Classical Talent
Each spring, Chandler Center for the Arts opens its stage to some of the most gifted young musicians in the region—and this year is no exception.
The series has its roots in a landmark 2007 event, when pianist Christopher O’Riley brought his celebrated NPR Boston “From the Top” program to Chandler as part of the center’s centennial celebration.
The performance drew tremendous enthusiasm, and Chandler has self-produced a similar program each year since, led by Janet Watton.
This year’s program promises something for every classical music lover. Solo performances will highlight the breadth of talent among the region’s young musicians, and the evening will culminate in a special closing piece by a 15-member ensemble from Upper Valley Music Center.
Admission to this concert is by donation, with general seating available.
The 2026 program includes works by:
- Frédéric Chopin (1810-849)
- Max Bruch (1838-1920)
- Franz Schubert ( 1797-1828)
- Tommaso Giordani ( (1730–1806)
